J O Baldwin Company was founded in the early forties by James O. Baldwin, Sr. Throughout his career, James O. Baldwin referred to his clients as "respected friends." The company quickly built a reputation for integrity, teamwork, and commitment.

James O. Baldwin, Jr., better known as Mr. Jim was well acquainted with working with his dad. So it was only natural for Jr. to take Sr.'s place. It was during this era the Grand Strand was a striving, growing community.

The company is now owned and operated by J. O. Baldwin, III, a community leader in both civic affairs as well as in the Grand Strand construction industry. As the third generation, J. has made a commitment to following the guidelines set before him as a person that honors and respects his community, clients, and staff.
